Sex Therapy Practice

I believe that sex is an excellent tool for connection and intimacy, and that for many it is also an exciting creative outlet. As a sex therapist, I am committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to share their experiences and concerns. I hope to work with you to address your concerns and improve the quality of your intimate relationships.

Specialties

My specialties include LGBTQ+ support, polyamory and non-monogamy, kink and BDSM, navigating sex as a person with a disability, and healing from evangelical religious trauma.

Individual Sex Therapy

I will work with my individual clients to address sexual trauma, cultivate a positive self-image around sexuality, understand needs and wants in sexual relationships, improve existing relationships, and work through any other problems around sex and intimacy that you may have.

Couples Sex and Relationship Therapy

Working with couples and partners, I will help to address mistrust, sexual trauma, problems with intimacy, mismatched sexual desires, relationship conflict, navigating sex during and after life transitions, and any other relationship or sexual concerns that you bring to our work.

About Me

I am a Master’s candidate in Social Work at the University of Denver, focusing on family systems and individual counseling. My other social work passions include restorative justice and environmental justice.

Originally from Oklahoma City, I received my bachelor's degree in sociology from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma. In my free time, I enjoy watching TV with my partner, painting, collaging, reading, and volunteering as a restorative justice facilitator with Restorative Denver.

As an intern, I am able to offer sliding-scale therapy sessions (pro-bono up to $100). Please reach out to emily@courtneybilbreylcsw.com for more information. Alternatively, you can book a free 20-min consult with me here.
